Forget about writing the perfect book. It’s never going to happen.

You can spend the rest of your life substituting full stops for commas, this word for that word, rewriting a scene, a chapter, the whole book.

You’ve got let go of it at some point.

And when you’ve done that you can move on and write the next one.

But not before.
